Four Square Paeroa has served the town for more than 80 years, and since 2022 it has been owned and operated by Tim and Lauren Watts, who previously ran Four Squares north of Auckland. It’s the everyday fresh grocer in the heart of the township, with produce, a butchery, bakery, deli, seafood, chicken and chips, and a bottle store on site, plus Lotto and flowers. Fresh bread, moist and tasty roast chickens, and well-reached fruit and vegetables are regular mentions from locals, along with friendly, helpful staff and easy parking. The store backs a long list of local causes, including the Paeroa Bowling Club, Paeroa Golf Club, Paeroa Rotary, Paeroa Lions and Pataka Kai Paeroa. Open seven days, with long hours into the evening.
